Introducing Nancy! Nancy is one of our aged care and first aid trainers.
Nancy joined the All Health Training team in 2019 and December just gone marked, Nancy's 2 year anniversary with us!

We asked Nancy to answer some questions for us, so you can get to know her better!
What made you want to get into this type of role?
Having worked as a swimming teacher previously as well as the Aged Care sector.. I was often asked why I am not a trainer as I would be good at it!
I felt I had what it takes to engage learners to excel in the aquatic area and within my aged care role, so I thought, let's give it a go and I haven't looked back, love it!
What do you love most about your role?
I love being able to assist the aged using a holistic approach, aswell as on a student front, meeting people of different backgrounds and getting to hear about their own special personal stories, why they want to get into the aged care sector and helping them to achieve that goal.
What do you personally get out of assisting students achieve their study & career goals?
What I love about being a Trainer & Assessor is that I want to inspire students to recognize that they have chosen the right course of study.
Being a Personal Carer is a privilege, as you get to meet amazing people and to help and assist when they require assistance. Ensuring they a kept as independent as possible, makes a big difference to their autonomy, independence, and mental wellbeing.
What is one thing you would tell a student looking to undertake a career in healthcare or a specific area of healthcare?
If you have a genuine respect for older people, you will not regret working in the industry as it is very rewarding. Just go for it!
What is your favourite saying or quote?
Treat you clients how you want to be treated or imagine they are your mother or father.
What do you love doing in your spare time (outside of work) and why?
In my spare time, I love catching up with family and friends, sailing and relaxing.
