It's time to care about aged care this election.

We need urgent aged care reform.

The Aged Care Royal Commission showed that the system is failing older people – and told us how to fix it.

But one year on, there is still unfinished business. Aged care is overstretched, and older people are paying the price.

The pandemic has worsened the pressures on aged care, which was already underfunded and facing staff shortages.

Staffing pressures have been building for decades. Older people are being turned away from services because there are not enough staff to deliver high quality care.

In 2021, each older person in care, on average, was losing 26 hours of care a year because of shifts that could not be filled, and some home care clients couldn’t access services at all.

We need action to tackle the workforce crisis.

The 2022 Federal Election is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to ensure older Australians get the care they deserve, once and for all. Your voices will boost the attention on aged care and make it hard for politicians to ignore the change we need.

By signing the petition you’ll help us transform Australia’s aged care system into one that can give people the care they deserve.

Australians have made it clear – they expect quality aged care. Now, we need the next government to work with us to fund and deliver that care.

Let’s make sure it stays at the top of the national agenda.

Will you sign the petition to ensure Australia has an aged care system that works for all?
