Not All Training Providers Are the Same: How to Choose the Right RTO Before You Enrol

Why This Matters

Choosing the right Registered Training Organisation (RTO) isn’t just about picking a course.. it’s about choosing the right path to employment. A quality provider gives you more than a certificate. They deliver nationally recognised training, practical skills, and real-world experience that prepare you to step confidently into the workforce.

At All Health Training (RTO 22066), our focus is on job-ready outcomes — helping you build the knowledge, confidence, and qualifications needed to launch or grow your career in healthcare.

Key Things to Check Before You Enrol

1. Is the provider properly registered?

Always choose an RTO listed on training.gov.au, the national register of training providers. This guarantees your training is recognised across Australia.

📌 International students should also check for CRICOS registration. AHT is not a CRICOS (Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students) registered provider. This means we are unable to offer qualification courses that qualify for the Student Visa Subclass 500, which requires enrolment in a CRICOS-registered course.

Note: This does not apply to short courses such as first aid, CPR and more.

If this sounds like you, visit our website here to explore suitable study pathways.

✅ All Health Training is a fully registered and ASQA-compliant RTO, delivering trusted training across Victoria.

2. Will the course lead to a recognised qualification and real job outcomes?

Ask if the course results in an AQF qualification or a Statement of Attainment, and whether it aligns with industry needs. This is essential if you’re aiming for roles in:

  • Aged care or home care

  • Disability support

  • Pathology collection

  • Health services assistance

  •

Education and care (first aid qualifications)

✅ Our courses are aligned with national competency standards and designed to help you gain skills that employers value — from communication and personal care, to infection control and emergency response.

3. Is the training provider connected with industry?

Choose an RTO with strong links to employers and industry bodies. This can mean better placements, more relevant content, and stronger employment pathways after graduation.

✅ At All Health Training, our trainers bring real-world industry experience and our students benefit from hands-on training in real or simulated environments.

Key Questions to Ask Before Enrolling

Area What to Ask
Job Outcomes What career pathways does this course open up? Do graduates find employment quickly?
Practical Skills

Will I gain hands-on practical experience or do work placements? Who organises them and where do I do them?

Costs & Fees What is the total course fee? Are materials and assessments included?
Delivery & Support Where is the course delivered? Do they have classroom, face to face options or online delivery? Is help available during online learning?
Qualification & Recognition Is the qualification nationally recognised and up to date with industry standards?
Student Support What support is available for learning, wellbeing and job readiness?
Industry Connections & Reputation Does the RTO have partnerships with local employers, reputable healthcare providers or industry groups? Is the organisation well-regarded in the sector for job-ready outcomes and quality training?
Job Ready Outcomes What is the rate of employment outcomes after course completion? How soon after completion? *Note. employment outcomes are never guaranteed and if they are, that's a red flag!
Continuous Improvement

What measures are in place to regularly review and update the course content, teaching methods, and student support services? How does the RTO ensure training stays aligned with current industry standards and workforce needs?

Trainers & Educators

What qualifications and industry experience do the trainers have? How do they stay current with changes in the healthcare sector to ensure students are learning the most up-to-date practices?

ASQA’s 2025 Standards: Quality Means Career-Ready

From 1 July 2025, updated Standards for RTOs ensure providers support students with transparent information, career-focused delivery and quality assessments.

A quality RTO must:

  • Provide clear, accurate details on course content, fees and job relevance

  • Check if students are suitable for the course and provide support where needed

  • Keep students informed of changes and ensure smooth course completion

✅ All Health Training meets and exceeds these standards with a student-first approach and strong post-training outcomes.

How to Choose an RTO That Sets You Up for Success

✅ Ensure the provider is registered and nationally recognised
✅ Confirm your course leads to a job-ready qualification
✅ Ask about work placements, real-world learning and career outcomes
✅ Understand costs, support and expectations before enrolling
✅ Choose a provider who supports your journey from start to finish
